When you’re missing teeth and want to restore your smile, it’s important that the dentures fit properly. That is why at Smiles in Gainesville, we offer customized versions of both full or partial dentures in order to make sure that we have you covered, no matter what your dental need is.

If you’re missing teeth, it’s important to find the right dentist who can help. Our team is here for all of your needs and will do everything in our power so that when we are finished with dentures they fit perfectly! It takes time but luckily this service has made things much easier by providing models which allow us to make accurate molds out of patients’ mouths before setting up shop on their new set of dentures.

Implant Retained Dentures

Implant retained dentures are similar to traditional dentures, with the exception that they are supported by implants rather than adhesives. This creates a much more dependable hold as the dentures are snapped into position – not able to shift, slide, or become loose throughout the day. By securing dentures with implants, the jawbone is given healthy stimulation to encourage the growth of the bone and prevent tissue deterioration.

Implant retained dentures may be designed for a full top or bottom arch of missing teeth. Secured by as few as two or four implants along the arch, patients can feel confident in their prosthetic, as it promotes better health and greater function.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are an excellent choice for those who want to replace their tooth or have lost it due to some reason. The process of getting these can be done in just one visit to our office! We use titanium during installation which creates a root-like structure that lasts for a long time with proper care.

CEREC Crowns

Dental crowns are a type of prosthesis utilized in dentistry to restore the function and appearance of a damaged tooth. Custom-built to precisely encapsulate the tooth, the crown acts as a durable barrier – protecting the vulnerable tooth from further damage while also serving as an integral element when chewing, speaking, and smiling.

Our office uses CEREC technology to craft dental crowns in just one day. By doing so, patients can avoid the dreaded temporary crowns and skip to enjoying their comfortable, dependable final product. The technology uses computer-aided design and manufacturing to ensure the crown’s precise fit. Using three-dimensional imaging generated by our intraoral scanner, we produce an exact model of the patient’s mouth to design the crown. This design is then forwarded to our milling machine, where the crown is shaped, carved, and polished in just 20 minutes! The full process of scanning, designing, milling, and placing will typically take one hour.

Dental Bridges

Missing teeth can cause a lot of discomfort and issues with eating and speaking clearly. A dental bridge may be the solution to your problem! It consists of two crowns that merge with the natural teeth, essentially bridging the gap between the two. There’s no need for drills or painful procedures like conventional bridges require (though these options are still available). The success depends largely upon how healthy the gums are. If it needs some work then don’t worry – we’ll assess all aspects during our consultation meeting together. Dental bridges are made of a variety of materials including gold and various alloys, and porcelain.
